Exhibition Preview Evening

Helen Booth Empowering Her Exhibition

A celebration of over a decade of empowering women

It’s not very often you find yourself in the presence of so many incredible women. All celebrating and sharing their own unique journeys and feeling the good vibes flying around the gallery that night! My ‘Empowering Her’ photographic exhibition is on until 11th March if you’d like to visit. (Details below)

Every image tells a different story

Each artwork tells a story of a real woman. It tells us what led her to experience a boudoir session and how it impacted her life. Someone said that reading about each woman was really powerful and surprisingly emotional. Something which elevated it from just admiring beautiful imagery.

Here is a collection of women I have photographed or collaborated with who came …..

The exhibition was inspiring, daring and incredible! Beautiful women showing vulnerability and strength at the same time, captured and displayed beautifully

THE WOMEN IN THE EXHIBITION

Laura is a professional dancer, choreographer and entrepreneur. All three of these images are from an explorative session we had playing with different lighting setups and props. The left image won a portrait masters bronze award in 2021.  She came to the preview evening with her lovely partner and highly adored dog Magda. She said the exhibition was…..

Intimate, bold, brave, inspiring - a reminder that our bodies are unique, strong and worthy of adoration
— Laura Amy

Julia had one of her images in the exhibition. Under her artwork it reads… "This was my first session (hopefully not the last!) It had been a long difficult year, so I was excited to give myself a present to make me feel better and more confident. The experience was incredible. I feel like I’ve seen a side to myself I never knew there was there!" Julia, 29

Masque Photography Boudoir Client

Becky was one of our make-up artists in our early days. She had a shoot with us a few years ago and wanted to wow her husband-to-be with some gorgeous boudoir photographs of her. She left him to open his secret box in private on their wedding day morning, so the next time he saw her was when she was walking down the aisle! They both came along to the exhibition to see her take pride of place on the gallery wall.

“Running a business and raising a mini-human I spend most of my time in bread-winner or nurturer mode. Helen is gifted at helping all women tune back into their femininity and fire. The space she holds is relaxing, safe, playful and fun. The experience is truly transformative.”

Adam bought a boudoir session for his partner TanNia. “I was initially looking for a way to empower my partner, provide her with the confidence that had been lost, and to wash away any anxieties or insecurities.TanNia adored the whole experience and took it all in her stride, she felt rejuvenated upon leaving, with renewed confidence not only in body, but also in mind.

Rochelle has been on a journey from dealing with an eating disorder in her early 20’s to now fully nourishing and loving her body. Her shoot was all about expressing her total liberation as the woman she is today.  Everyone loved her photograph in her comfy knickers, flinging her hands in the air, as you get a real sense of the freedom and complete contentment she feels in being 100% true to herself.

I caught Briony taking a selfie next to her artwork. Next to her artwork it reads "I savoured every second from the moment I arrived. I literally felt like a goddess all day…… as well as having delicious fun and some proper belly laughing moments. It was so utterly empowering and has the unique ability to make you stop for a moment, see yourself as others do and realise you are indeed a beautiful and god damn sexy woman”

Sonia is one of our make-up artist and hair-stylists at Masque Photography. We created this shadow with our fan, which gave the impression that she was wearing fishnet tights. It certainly left everyone guessing.

"After breast feeding two babies, I’d fallen out of love with my body and wanted to feel confident and sexy again. I absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. It was relaxed and fun and I didn’t feel nervous at all”

Victoria’s husband told me at the exhibition how proud he was of her as she is generally quite a shy person. Doing something like this for herself and him, meant so much.
