Our Top Ten White Shirt Poses

We love a white shirt, or any colour for that matter! It’s a popular choice for many to bring along to their shoots. So we’ve put together our top ten poses for you. Want a particular one in your session? Just ask!

  1. THE back shot

How we achieve it: Stand in front of the light source, feet fairly wide, slink your hip to the side, then place your hands in your hair, run your hands down your body or remove the shirt slowly off one shoulder. These are all great options in this pose.

2. DRAPED OFF YOUR SHOULDERS

3. ROLLING UP THE SLEEVE

4. PLAYING WITH THE COLLAR

This is always a fun one. If you can pull it high enough to peek over the top and make sure to smile.

5. UNDOING THE BUTTONS

The action of undoing the buttons of a shirt, or as we adapted to in this shot, pulling it down to reveal a little cleavage is also a great option. I especially love the look she’s giving here, as she knows he’ll love this shot in his favourite shirt!

6. THROWING IN A TIE

7. CONCEALING & REVEALING

Shirts give great coverage when you want it, but also give the opportunity to pull around to conceal or reveal whatever you’d like. Can be a great way to add a topless aspect to the image without showing too much.

8. Tying in a knot

Want to keep yourself more covered? No problem at all.

9. CLOSE UP

10. DRAPED ON THE FLOOR

One leg in front of the other or crossed, elegantly draping the shirt on the floor. I like to shoot this a little out of focus to add to the mystique if nude, but it can be done in lingerie equally as well.
