It’s our 10-Year Anniversary!

Thinking back to when I begun this journey in 2009, I had a 1-year-old and I was pregnant with my second child. Now my daughter has just started secondary school and my little boy is 9. That seems totally crazy to me, but its the only way I can visualise how much time has actually passed. A whole decade, what what!

Whatever the incentive for coming, what all my clients have in common is that they are on an empowering journey. Ready to celebrate who they are and with just enough faith in the process to get them through the door. I often hear women saying they usually hate having their photo taken, that they aren’t body-confident, that they are looking for a boost and I see what difference it makes, it’s so rewarding, I can’t see me ever stopping!

I feel so incredibly lucky to have met so many amazing women through what I do, not only clients, but local business women and other photographers as well. Many have come back to see me, referred me to their family and friends, have been there when I have needed them, encouraged me and supported me through-out my journey. What more can a woman ask for, thank you to you all!

Also a special thank you to all the make-up artists I have used over the years and Catherine from Boho Chic Weddings for kindly taking the photograph of me.

First ever shoot Masque Photography.jpg

This is from my first ever shoot with my friend in 2009. It was the photo, which launched Masque Photography and took me to where I am today.

I have experimented with traditional portraiture through-out, incorporating elements of it into my boudoir still today. I met this lady in my Yoga class and asked to model for me, as I had never photographed anyone her age or with white hair. Her daughters were absolutely thrilled with this photo of their Mum, as am I!

The icon shoot

I offered an experience called the ‘Icon Shoot’ for a few years, where I experimented with replicating famous icons. This is Monica Bellucci, aka Kate Portman from Pouting In Heels.

The milk bath maternity shoot

I have also done photo-shoots in a milk bath for maternity and boudoir. Sounds a little crazy hey, but yes I do pour milk into a warm bath and place flowers in too. It is a great backdrop for a shoot and really comfortable too.

Some of the highlights for me have been a solo art exhibition I had in 2014, a catwalk show with Lucy May Lingerie, being interviewed on BBC Radio Sheffield and appearing in numerous publications including Woman’s Own and the Daily Mail on Sunday.
